Sheryl-Underwood

Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and television host most well-known as host for The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. She was born in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is a member of a troubled family. She spent most of her young life caring for her younger sister Frankie who suffered from the disease of polio. While growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl says that at one point her mother cut her dad for being too close to him. Sheryl joined military after graduating from university. However her interest lay in comedy. She was the only female who made it to the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. Her TV professional career started in 1992 when she was a guest participant on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she appeared as host of the television talk show Oh Drama! The show has also featured her as host on The Talk since 2011. In addition, she has a fictional role on series such Bulworth and Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
