Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington works as an writer, philanthropist and television host, and owner of The Huffington Post. When she moved into England from Greece at 16 She earned an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. She was the first person who was not from the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she went on to become an influential voice for the Huffington Post. It was possible for her to recruit many prominent contributors to share their opinions regarding politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election to replace the Governor Davis. Arianna was also part of a Detroit-based project that promoted efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes named her as one of the "most influential woman" in media, placing her at 12th.
