April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US, is among a select group of women who have had medals won in more than one Olympics. In Tokyo during the next few days she will attempt to win her third gold medal alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross also hopes to get her first Olympic gold. As she is 39 she could have her final chance. But she's convinced that the top awards are in reach. Ross through NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing well or at all they could win a gold. Also, I am going put my faith in a touch of luck. Ross was born in California in the city of Costa Mesa in 1982. Her family lived in the area with her mother, father and sister. Ross played in numerous activities while at Newport Harbor High School. Her prep athletic career included indoor volleyball, as well as basketball, running and track. She was clearly the best player in indoor volleyball. Through her high school years, she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter in the court for volleyball as per her bio at the college. In recognition of her work, she was honored as in 1999 as the Gatorade Champion of Champions Circle of Champions Player of the Year. In 2000, she received her the Orange County Athlete of the Year award in volleyball. Even though Ross Klineman and Ross have been doing their thing since the year 2017, Klineman was already an established participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. In actual Ross has won a number of important tournaments throughout her career along with her two teammates. One of them is a volleyball legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Kessy was Ross's co-coach at the World Championships in 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they were awarded the gold medal. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team along with Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement after she had retired. Together, they took home bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in the year the year 2016. In high school and the years before she hit the sand as a pro Ross was a ball for the USC Trojans as an NCAA. She had a great run in the college. In 2000, as a freshman she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year honors and earned an All-American. Also, she was one of the key players for helping the Trojans make the Final Four. The second season of her career, she experienced a terrible personal loss and still earned the distinction of being an All-American. In her last two years, she took the Trojans up the mountain and clinched consecutive national championships. Individually she had cemented her place as a legend winning the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross was a student of International Relations at USC. Unfortunately Ross mother Margie was not able to witness her daughter ascend to the highest levels of beach volleyball superstardom. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become a second-year student at USC. She continues to cherish her late parent. Margie is a source of inspiration both in her personal life and at the beaches.
